The Maldivian Reefers Association is registered Non-Profit Organization under the Associations Act Law No. 3/2022. The Maldivian Reefers Association is a dedicated group of reefers located in the capital city of Maldives, committed to promoting the saltwater Aquarium hobby across the country. Our primary focus is to make this enriching hobby accessible and enjoyable for all individuals interested in saltwater aquariums, aiming to create a thriving community of reefers nationwide.

At our core, we are passionate about promoting the saltwater aquarium hobby by offering support and assistance to fellow enthusiasts, sharing knowledge, and fostering a sense of camaraderie within the community. We believe that it is crucial for our community to advocate for our rights as guaranteed by the constitution and laws, standing up against any form of discrimination, and ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals passionate about reef-keeping, like other hobbies.

Our mission is to create sustainable environment for saltwater aquarists in the community, safeguard the fundamental rights of reef aquarium hobbyists, guarantee equal opportunities for local reef enthusiasts comparable to other hobbies, support scientific research, and foster community engagement to ensure the health and vitality of our marine biodiversity. We aim to work collaboratively with local communities, government agencies, and international partners to implement conservation initiatives, educate the public, and advocate for policies that protect our reefs for future generations with our Reefing Community. Through these efforts, we strive to enhance the resilience of our reefs against the impacts of climate change and human activities, ensuring that they continue to provide ecological, economic, and cultural benefits to the Maldives and beyond.
