The Maldives Reefers Association was officially registered on September 8, 2024, by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts. This landmark registration grants the reefing community formal recognition and legal status, enabling it to advance its mission and fully capitalize on opportunities for growth and engagement.

While the process began several months ago under the guidance of the founding members, delays arose due to various challenges. Nevertheless, the Association's official registration marks a significant milestone for the community.

In the coming months, elections will be held to elect members to the governing body, with further announcements to follow.

This legal recognition empowers the Maldives Reefers Association to engage directly with government authorities, fostering collaboration on matters of mutual interest.
